From her start as an emergency department trauma and medevac flight nurse to her take-charge leadership as vice president of emergency services at several hospitals, Maura continues to set standards of excellence today in management consulting, team building and motivational speaking.

Frank Corvino has an uncommonly perceptive vision. As president and CEO of Connecticut’s Greenwich Hospital and executive vice president of the Yale New Haven Health System, Frank maintained a steadfast focus on the “patient experience.”

His ability to foresee the changes coming in healthcare and his commitment to patients, doctors, and the delivery of excellent customer service, transformed a small community hospital into a regional medical center with a national reputation and high patient satisfaction ratings. 

During his tenure, Frank presided over the construction and enhancement of an entirely new, state-of-the-art hospital campus and corresponding $300 million capital campaigns—without disruption to patient care. Over 25 years, his long-range planning ensured the hospital’s profitability every year through investments in equipment, medical expertise and programs.

Frank stands at the forefront of healthcare thought leadership, and innovation. He has received significant citations for creating a culture of compassion and service excellence that drove patient satisfaction scores from the 75th to the 99th percentile nationally. 

Frank’s career in healthcare spanned 43 years. His training as a pharmacist gave him clinical experience. Working his way through the ranks of management to executive leadership added a unique perspective on the importance of interpersonal skills. He helped foster a very strong sense of pride among employees who, in turn, treated those they served like family.
